Dermaplaning is a form of manual exfoliation similar in theory to microdermabrasion but without the use of suction. A sterile blade is stroked across the skin at an angle to gently shave off the dead skins from the epidermis and temporarily remove the fine vellus hair of the face. This leaves a very smooth surface allowing skincare products to penetrate deeper, thus being more effective. The procedure includes an oxygen mask and finishes with clinically proven skincare products. It reduces the appearance of fine lines, evens skin tone, and assists in reducing milia, congestion and breakouts . Dermaplaning results in brighter, smoother skin .
Due to the contours of the face, certain areas, such as the eye orbit area and nose are not treatable using this method.
